SVP Hyderabad chapter’s ambitious vision is to improve the livelihood of at least one lakh families/households in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh through engaged philanthropy, over the next five years.

We are creating a roadmap for the next five years with actionable objectives and year-wise goals across the shortlisted verticals as per the interest areas and expertise of our partners. The main focus areas for each strategic intervention are, building an entrepreneurial mindset, initiating concrete and sustainable alternative livelihood activities, capacity building, strategy development, and promoting programs that provide employability skills.

Latest Happenings

On 26th August, 2021, Craftizen India organized a graduation ceremony for 61 trainees who successfully completed a 3-months basic skill training course in tailoring at their Bahadurpura Centre. SVP Hyderabad General Manager Aamrapali Sharma, who attended the ceremony, said “It was heartening to see the enthusiasm amongst the women and their family members. They also shared stories of their journey, their reasons for undertaking the course and their plans for the future.”

On 23rd and 24th July, SVP Hyderabad partner NGO Swasthi Healthcare, the health catalyst, initiated a unique programme for facilitating diversified/alternative livelihood projects with two Community-Based Organizations (CBOs). The primary objective is to facilitate access to financial and social security services for 2000 Community members and support 200 members in starting diversified livelihood activities to earn additional income to fulfil their basic needs.

Hyderabad partner Mr. Ram Kaundiya is spearheading an all India SVP Think tank in collaboration with partners from all chapters.

SVP Hyderabad supported door-to-door Covid health risk assessments for nearly 500 people, carried out by investee NGOs Commitments Trust and Swasti. As part of this effort, 110 quarantine kits were distributed.
