At Our Chapter

The focus of the Ahmedabad Chapter has been to encourage the development of entrepreneurs from economically weaker segments of society. Empowering leaders from within communities ensures growth sensitive to the needs of that ecosystem and thus has proven to be a great mechanism for generating sustainable livelihoods.

There is so much indigenous potential that exists across India – be it artisanal crafts, food tech, agriculture etc. that can be leveraged for growth.

Ahmedabad Chapter has associated with projects that address empowerment as a 360° dialogue – identifying opportunities for individuals to increase their circle of influence and concern.

Gujarat which is known as the ‘land of Baniyas’, it is apt that the ethos has led us in this direction of encouraging entrepreneurship!

Latest Happenings

Partner interacted with an NGO – Saath Charitable Trust working with micro and nano entrepreneurs to help them scale and or diversify their business to help them earn a sustainable income.

At SVP Ahmedabad, we had a small gathering of women partners. The discussion revolved around where everyone was in life right now and how they were able to get there. We hope to encourage the participation of women in SVP Ahmedabad by creating spaces for them to engage through such exercises.

Our partner Nicole dives straight into working with SOACH India – the need of the hour is to assist the organization in the marketing effort of the beautiful handcrafted products. Project 300+ at SOACH India aims to ensure financial independence for women as a lead into conversations around empowerment.

It was heartwarming to see the progress that the women and beneficiaries have made. The once restrictive environments today provide wage surety of at least Rs 300 daily for 22 women. Thanks to the consistent and determined effort of Lead Partners Jayanth Murthy, Saumil Shah, and Pavan Bakeri, we have accomplished much more than was expected.
