About the partner
Viral, a native Mumbaikar is a graduate of The Wharton Business School of University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance & Management. Currently, she is heading the CSR initiatives of Vinati Organics – a specialty chemical company. She has worked as a private banker at Citi Private Bank in New York and has volunteered at reputed nonprofits like Pratham and Dasra in Mumbai. On the personal front, she is married to Prashant Mittal, Executive Director of AlphaGrep, and together they have two young boys, Aryaveer (7) and Avirath (3). In her free time, she loves to read, swim, travel, dance, and watch movies. Currently, she is also learning piano, and cycling.
My Journey at SVP
“I have been a partner at SVP since October 2019. I first attended SVP’s partner meeting as a potential partner and I was very impressed by the work of the two investees that presented on that day. Immediately after that meeting, I agreed to join SVP. The best part of SVP is the fact that it was a great opportunity for me to meet like-minded individuals who wanted to contribute to our society and make a difference in a meaningful way. Since I am one of the youngest partners at SVP, I am also getting to learn a lot from my seniors about how to strategically develop my own philanthropy. I am part of the Grants and Review committees at SVP Mumbai. SVP’s stringent due diligence process of choosing our investees and reviewing our existing investees has taught me how to apply these principles at Vinati Organics in my capacity as its CSR Head.”
