Sanjay Parikh

Sanjay is the Co Founder, Executive Vice President and Member of the Board of Indegene Pvt Ltd; a company offering research and development and management services to healthcare and pharmaceutical enterprises, since 2002. Prior to that, he was Venture Manger at Antfactory Pvt Ltd, a venture capital firm and Executive Director at Kopran Laboratories Pvt Ltd. He was also visiting professor for Biomedical Engineering at IIT Bombay for several years.

Sanjay has a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay (1985), an MS in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Ohio (1987) and a PHD in Biomedical Engineering from the The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore (1992).

Sanjay has had a desire to engage in philanthropy and was propelled by his elder daughter who is a Team Lead at Dasra to make the plunge. He has raised funds in the past through the Mumbai Marathon for Salaam Bombay Foundation and reading to the visually impaired as a volunteer at National Association for the Blind.

Sanjay loves long distance running and cooking. He relishes Mediterranean and street food, listens to Classic Rock and Indian Classical, watches crime thrillers and historical fictional movies and enjoys authors such as Amitav Ghosh and PG Wodehouse.
