Rama Nabar holds a Master’s degree in Commerce with a specialization in Macroeconomics from Mumbai University.
She recently opted for Voluntary Retirement after serving over 35 years at the Reserve Bank of India. Over the last 15 years, her work focused on Vigilance, Training & Development, and Financial Inclusion & Development.
Rama has collaborated extensively with bankers, state finance departments, NGOs, and MSME clusters to drive financial literacy and inclusion initiatives.
Her recent fieldwork, especially during RBI-led awareness campaigns, reinforced her belief in the need to introduce financial awareness and life skills—including communication, sustainability, and environmental consciousness—to children as young as 12. She is keen to engage with partners and NGOs active in this space to bridge the financial knowledge gap among youth.
