“SVP has been a great launching pad for my social sector and philanthropy journey. I enjoyed my Grants Committee stint reviewing the NGOs and working together with SVP partners to select the best of the lot. I learnt immensely from my fellow partners and our investee NGOs about how the social sector works, what is effective and not so effective in addressing our social problems and in general the struggles of the sector. SVP has a unique and attractive model of providing both financial and non-financial support wherein the financial support is highly flexible in terms of permitted usage and the non-financial support is directly from highly experienced individuals from different walks of life. Indeed, the SVP family of warm, empathetic and like-minded individuals has made a big difference in my life.”
