Monica is an educator who facilitates student learning in an academic and non- academic zone. With 30 years of experience in teaching, Monica is presently the post-CAS Coordinator, and an IBDP Visual Arts and Secondary School teacher at Bombay International School. She has taught Applied Art at Sophia Polytechnic and Advertising Design to the students of Social Communications Media at Sophia and Ruia College.
Besides teaching, her great joy is dancing, and creating art. She loves to travel and explore exotic destinations and learn about diverse cultures.
Monica and her husband Jayesh are parents to daughters Tanvi, Avni and to son-in-law Kunal, and grandparents of Ayaan.
Monica is inspired by this quote from Einstein “I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.
“The concept endorsed by SVP, of cultivating and empowering philanthropists to tackle our communities’ social challenges, was inspirational for me. In my limited association with the organization, I have seen amazing transformational stories and individuals who are hands-on in leading to make a change in the community.”
