Mahesh Iyer

Mahesh has spent close to 30 years in the healthcare industry, working with leading pharmaceutical companies such as Boehringer Ingelheim, Bristol Myers Squibb, Novartis, and Pfizer to support the development of new drugs for patients. He holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from the United States and spent 10 years working in the US before returning to India. His current interests include operationalizing AI and ML technologies for drug development.
Beyond his professional work, Mahesh has a wide range of interests, including wildlife and astrophotography, music (he plays multiple instruments), and cricket, where he plays in local league teams every weekend. He also teaches at multiple universities, mentors students, and has guided numerous healthcare startups. For a brief period, he headed an incubator/accelerator at IIIT Hyderabad.
Mahesh and his wife Radha have two children, Nishad (11) and Naisha (8).
