Madhavan is the Group Chief Financial Officer and Head of Strategy at the CK Birla Group, a role he has held since 2018. With over 25 years of experience, he has a strong background in business strategy, finance, management, and leadership.
At CK Birla Group, he oversees enterprise risk management, strategic mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and talent management, driving organizational growth and strategic direction.
Madhavan serves as an Independent Director and Audit Committee Chair at Galaxy Surfactants Limited. His governance expertise extends to his time as a Governing Council Member of the Calcutta Medical Research Institute, which operates three landmark hospitals across India.
Before joining the CK Birla Group, Madhavan spent nearly two decades at Philips in various leadership roles. He served as CFO for Philips India and as Vice President & Global Controller for Automotive Lighting in the Netherlands. He also held the role of Global Finance Controller for Emerging Markets in the Healthcare Division.
