My Journey at SVP
“I think after one reaches a certain milestones in ones career, have a fair degree of satisfaction about what one has been able to contribute /achieve and the age starts catching up, a deeper question keeps tugging at you – “What is the purpose of my life?”. Answer in terms of giving back to society, honouring and institutionalising the memories and learnings of the people who shaped your life, may be your parents, friends or corporate mentors, alma matter keeps coming back to you. While the direction one has to travel is clear but the transition to that road in my case took couple of decades after I posed that critical question to myself. One of the decisive steps in my journey to discover my purpose in life was to join SVP.
In SVP I meet lot of amazing people who are at different stages in their journey of self discovery and realisation. Some like me were transitioning from thought to action but many were deeply immersed and contributing in many innovative ways and enriching the lives of people around them and spreading the smile, which in turn I believe adds to their own intrinsic motivation and flywheel of energy.
SVP provides me a platform and enabling environment which supports and supplements my current focus and journey of Spirituality which as I am learning and imbibing encompasses the five Yamas (Ethical code of conduct) Ahimsa, Satya, Asteya, Brahmacharya and Aprigraha.”
