Jogin Desai

ogin has been a deeply valued partner of the SVP India family since 2013. Over the past decade, he has contributed deeply to SVP’s mission – first as a Lead Partner with NGOs like Vrutti, Taxshe and EquiBeing Foundation and later as the Chair of the Bangalore chapter and member of the CMC. His leadership was pivotal in co-developing the 3F model at Vrutti – a visionary approach that aimed to triple farmer incomes within five years, reflecting his belief in scalable, impact-driven innovation.
Professionally, Jogin’s career spans global leadership roles in the life sciences sector. He is the Founder and CEO of Eyestem Research, a Bengaluru-based cell therapy company working to develop affordable and scalable treatments for incurable blindness. His mission is to democratize access to cutting-edge healthcare, ensuring that scientific breakthroughs reach those who need them most.
Prior to Eyestem, he was part of the global leadership team at Quintiles and headed their cardiac safety business from 2001 to 2007. He later served as CEO of Cenduit, the world’s largest standalone randomization company – a joint venture of ThermoFisher Scientific – with offices across the US, Europe and India.
In addition to his work with SVP India, Jogin also serves as a trustee at the Humanist Centre for Medicine and the Ignite Life Science Foundation, further deepening his commitment to healthcare innovation and scientific excellence.
Jogin lives in Bangalore with his wife Reena and their two wonderful children, Het and Preet.
