My Journey at SVP
“SVP is a platform where a diverse community of corporate leaders, active social workers, and simple people with a philanthropic bent of mind come together, mingle and focus on social issues which need solutions. I have learnt that SVP is a place which sensitizes you to the social issues of the land and gives you an opportunity to serve the community in the best way you can. I work well with NGOs I am involved with and feel valued. I believe that nothing truly great is accomplished alone. Every person in our network has something to teach and something to learn. There is a great chasm between the challenges in the social space and the scale at which those challenges are being tackled. As SVP members, we are ready to associate and collaborate with each other to cross that chasm.
I am amazed at the good work being done by our implementing partners. It is a very humbling experience. I am also equally awestruck by the resilience of the people who face the worst social crises. There is so much to see, so much to learn. Rising above oneself, intellectual honesty, self-respect, love and respect for others, unpretentiousness, humility and so much more. SVP is a great place to start one’s philanthropic journey.”
