Dr Nicola Pawar

Dr. Nicola Pawar, a medical doctor and Ph.D. from Philipps-University Marburg, has made Pune her home since 1992. She is a Trustee and Secretary at Maher, an NGO supporting destitute women, children, and men, where she also leads international fundraising and mentors foreign volunteers.
She serves on the Executive Committee of Alliance Française de Pune and is a Director at Metachem Manufacturing Co. Pvt. Ltd. and Ajay Syscon Pvt. Ltd.
Her husband, Jayant Pawar, founded Solaris, a fitness and sports club. They have two children—Jonas, who is involved in the family business, and Tabea, a cultural anthropology graduate based in the Netherlands.
