Debkanta has experience in development policy and rural livelihoods, with a strong focus on socio-economic research, data-driven programme management. He has worked with organizations such as the Haryana State Rural Livelihoods Mission (HSRLM), WASSAN, Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS), WWF India, IMPRI, EMC and the Centre for Environmental Education, contributing to livelihood programmes and field-based research. He holds a Master’s degree in Development Policy Planning and Practice from TISS and a Bachelor’s in Agriculture, Rural, and Tribal Development.
Beyond work, he enjoys travelling, photography, and reading, often using these interests to document field experiences and better understand diverse communities and contexts. He is excited to deepen his engagement with the engaged philanthropy ecosystem through SVP and looks forward to contributing to the team.
