Darshana grew up in Kolkata, surrounded by people who valued giving and helping others. Photography has always been her passion, but she also assists in managing their 70-year-old family saree business. A year ago, she married into a family committed to philanthropy, which shifted her perspective on life. In college, she worked as a storyteller for the Seagull Foundation for the Arts and later co-founded Little Learners, teaching 100 girls online during Covid. Recently, she mentored IMI students at SVP, helping them support NGOs, inspired by how SVP impacts communities beyond just financial support.
On the philanthropic front, Darshana wants to work working with children in education, nutrition, and livelihood opportunities. She also believes photography and social media are powerful tools to help NGOs share their impact with a wider audience.
