CV Sarma

A dynamic finance and strategy leader with over 31 years at ITC Ltd, one of India’s top conglomerates, CV Sarma retired as Executive Vice President (Finance & IT).
A Chartered Accountant, Cost & Management Accountant, Company Secretary and PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad, he brings a rare blend of academic excellence and deep industry experience.
At ITC, he held leadership roles across Corporate Planning, Treasury and Business Finance, contributing to strategic initiatives including Forex Treasury Centralisation, digital transformation, adoption of TPM based excellence standards and rural market development via eChoupals and Choupal Saagars. He was a member of the Divisional Management Committees of Agri & Paper Businesses.
Post-retirement, CV mentors & invests in startups (T Hub, TiE Hyderabad, Angel Networks), advises corporates (as CII TCM jury member) and teaches. Passionate about ESG, he actively engages in climate finance, carbon markets and policy advocacy.
He loves playing lawn tennis, reading books and watching movies.
