Abhijit Banerjee

Abhijit Banerjee is a Metallurgical Engineering graduate from IIT Kharagpur with over four decades in operations and project management in technology-driven industries. Abhijit now heads his own company operating in hydrocarbon gas applications and steel heat treatment. Abhijit is not new to philanthropy. Inspired by his father, he has involved himself in educating underprivileged children since his school days. He supports “Jagriti,” a school for tribal children of the Hijli area of Kharagpur. His wife, Sanchaita, a member of the Inner Wheel Club of Rotary International, is also involved in different philanthropic projects taken up by her club from time to time.
