SVP India’s Pune Chapter recently organized ‘Pitch Perfect’, an evening of giving with noted philanthropists, foundations and corporates from the city. The evening was a testament to the unwavering power of compassion, which saw the generous community of Pune come together and commit a sum of over ₹2.35 crores in support of the 8 presenting non-profits.

Philanthropists want to not just give but to make sure their money and effort are making a real difference. To that end, they are getting more engaged in such work. This is, therefore, a time of ‘engaged philanthropy’, which focuses on the long term and collaboration to maximise impact. SVP India, one of the country’s largest platforms for engaged philanthropy hosted an annual fundraising event ‘Setu’ in Kolkata. SVP seeks to provide a platform for individuals to actively engage in philanthropy by not only providing financial support to NGOs but by also contributing their skills and expertise to help the non-profits grow. During the event, SVP presented four non-profit organisations namely, Vihaan, Vaani Deaf Children’s Foundation, Calcutta Foundation and Help Us Help Them.
