Tapasya works for families from economically weaker and disadvantaged sections of society who are not able to unlock the benefits of multiple welfare schemes due to a lack of awareness and support systems. In a country like India having 1.39 billion population, 83% of families are earning less than 1.2 lakh/annum; i.e., 10K/month. Here the role of welfare schemes becomes very important to satisfy the basic needs of these families.

In project Sakhi, we will be focusing on 1800 families in a project cycle of three years to secure their livelihood by helping the families in getting access to various welfare schemes for a minimum value of INR 6000/family/year. All the families and stakeholders would be empowered enough to support each other. The aim is to support one community for 3-5 years to make the model sustainable and empowered by the time the project is over.
