Labhya Foundation aims to enable children from low socio-economic backgrounds with the necessary social & emotional skills to cope with poverty and become effective learners. Labhya partners with Indian state governments to co-create and ensure effective implementation of a state-wide daily well-being class integrated into the school day. We have co-created and are ensuring effective implementation of the world’s most extensive and India’s first at-scale well-being program, the Happiness Curriculum ‘Anandam Pathyacharya’. Our programs enable 2.4 million vulnerable children across three states to cope and become healthy, effective learners.

Labhya has quickly grown by leaps and bounds and recognized the need for guidance. Through this non-financial partnership, SVP Partner will advise and support Labhya to formalize a Governance Policy and assist the NGO in constituting a Board.
Anshu studies in a public school in India, and her parents often sleep hungry, so she doesn’t have to. She has internalized this stress and can’t speak openly with her parents about how it affects her or her schooling.
Labhya’s program provided her with the language, tools, and space to understand her emotions and communicate with her parents about them.
Like millions of students impacted by Labhya programs, Anshu saw qualitative improvements in their emotional health. According to Boston Consulting Group, Anshu, like 87% of students in Labhya’s program, reported improved behavior and success in schooling.
Our long-term vision is to enable 50 million Anshus by 2030.
