SVP’s engagement with KADAM involved mentorship & financial support for issues that were blockades in creating sustainable incomes for 332 trained artisans in year 1 & 462 artisans in year 2. This created a twofold growth for the organization in terms of revenue generation and upto 33% increase in sustainable incomes of the beneficiaries. Various facets of business and sustainability have been the theme of monthly meetings with Lead Partners Mr. Ayush Poddar and Mr. Shaurya Veer Himatsingka.
KADAM Trainings get funded by esteemed organizations as part of cluster development projects in skilling and upgrading skills, running training programmes for rural artisans in making marketable products, and creating producer collectives and training them to run their rural enterprises. SVP gave the trained artisans an opportunity to grow their social enterprise and ensure sustainable incomes by offering business development mentorship, funds for inventory management planning, and social media and digital marketing. SVP thus ensured that Kadam can support all their trained skilled groups not just in making sustainable products but also in having economic sustainability. The youth contingent led by Youth Mentor Ms. Unnati Shah have helped Kadam with their social media marketing over the last few months.
