SVP-Banyan Tree Foundation Partnership

Banyan Tree Foundation first approached SVP Ahmedabad with an idea and a successful pilot. Partners helped them evolve successfully to become a sustainable model capable of expansion and growth. The structure withstood the test of COVID with no further requirement of assistance from any funding bodies.

Story of success

The founder, Nileshbhai Priyadarshi, had a well-paying corporate job when he first approached SVP Ahmedabad with his idea. He had been unable to find funding and the much-needed mentorship support to confidently dive in full-time and pursue his passion. Partners identified the potential in his idea and supported him through the process of setting up organizational and financial structures for Banyan Tree Foundation. Four months after the partners started interacting with him, before any financial commitment, he found the confidence to quit his day job and dedicate his life to giving artisans a medium to market themselves. He calls the partners his ‘firefighters’. With them in tow he can take risks knowing that he has someone to back him up.
