Set up in 1997, Communication for Development and Learning (CDL) is a Bangalore based not-for-profit organization working to facilitate the use of communication as an integral part of the development process. Our work at CDL is directed to create and subsequently mainstream innovative approaches in development communication – both within NGOs and civil society.
CDL engages with both, alternate and mainstream publications – in both English and Kannada (local language) to provide an interface between the media and development. The core area of work is media research and analysis of development issues in the print media. Our team competency and strength rest on an integral understanding of both sectors, which is based on experience in building partnerships with journalists in the print.
