Anahat is currently running “Project Unnati” in Diamond Harbour, South 24 Paraganas, Nadia district and Terai region Tea gardens, Darjeeling, supported by SVP India Kolkata. The project aims to impact the lives of more than 100 underprivileged women, who are being taught to make reusable cloth pads and other feminine hygiene products in order to bridge the gap in the supply chain of subsidized sanitary products provided by the Government in target areas. Project Unnati not just improves the socioeconomic conditions of the beneficiaries but also provides them with the opportunity to spread knowledge in the community regarding sustainable menstruation and its advantages. Lead Partners Ms. Richa Dalmia, Ms. Smita Agarwal and Ms. Tanuja Bhandari constantly generate ideas and provide guidance.
