Vision / Mission

Sampark’s mission is to help vulnerable and poor people, especially women, gain direct control over and improve their lives. This is achieved through educational interventions primarily aimed at increasing people’s income-earning ability.

Sampark’s 30 years of experience with various development initiatives has given us the opportunity to listen to communities, understand issues of vulnerable communities, support them and build trust. The successful models of SHGs, Cooperatives, Workers Resource Centres and Creches created needs to be scaled up to reach out to more vulnerable people.
Rights-based. All the 3 groups with whom Sampark works – women, migrant workers and children of migrant workers – the main focus is always awareness and access to their rights.
A Banking professional for 8 years, I moved into the development sector for the need to give back to the society and for work to have a sense of meaning. Moving to Bangalore, with blue tents and migrant workers everywhere, that’s the reason I was pulled towards Sampark. Deeply interested in migrant workers rights and to provide agency.
