Vision / Mission

Vision: Create a world where every menstruator enjoys their fundamental human right to have safe and dignified menstruation.

Mission: To end period poverty by channelling the civic society’s efforts towards advocating, mounting campaigns, creating open conversations, ensuring menstrual literacy, and helping make sustainable and environmentally friendly menstrual products accessible and affordable.

Delhi

Meta (WhatsApp Global team) has selected six organisations worldwide that use WhatsApp communities uniquely to create a large social impact. We, too, have been selected and are the only ones from India. They are flying a production crew from the US to do a small video on us, which Meta will promote globally from Mar-Apr 2023. Billion or eyeballs are expected.
My 16 years old daughter nudged & challenged me to start Pinkishe after she learnt about the extremely sorry state of menstrual health & hygiene situation in India post an incident where she spotted a blood stain on an adolescent girl’s clothes who could not afford sanitary pads. Coupled with my own childhood experience whereby my mother and sisters denied me knowledge of periods due to shame around the subject, I committed myself to ending period poverty in India and started Pinkishe Foundation. My longstanding angst against prevalent gender gaps fuels my passion.
My favourite holiday location is Rajasthan – any and all parts of it.
