Vision / Mission

Vision- We believe that even after gaining Independence we have only gained political freedom. Achieving economic freedom through education and employment beginning with freedomFrom the dehumanizing hunger is our vision.
Mission- Contribute significantly towards reducing poverty, improving health facilities, increasing access to education and awareness, increasing availability of employment and income opportunities.

The pandemic has pushed more than 20 million people back into poverty, undoing the work of the last decade. With our grassroots presence and work, we are uniquely placed to help many such people by empowering them through skills to get them back on their feet. Doles will help them for a while but for sustainable development, society needs to empower them. It is a great opportunity for us as we have been doing this for the last 13 years and if supported, we can scale our work to help more and more people.
Empowering. DBM is an empowering organization. We believe that if we empower people through education and livelihood training, then only they can move out of hunger permanently.
Having given good quality education to my children, I was disturbed by the inequality in the education being offered to the poor children. Also being a single parent, i realized the importance of empowering people especially women so that they are not dependent on others and can stand on their feet. Our work in dbm is designed on these two focus areas.
