Rukesh is a Technology Evangelist with extensive global experience. His 30 years career spans banking and technology, with significant contributions at American Express Westpac, Lloyds, Price Waterhouse, Woolworths, and in Australia. Returning to India in 2015, he spearheaded Jio Financial Services’ technology transformation, launching key platforms like the Core Payment Gateway, JioMoney and JioPaymentBank. Subsequently, he built an award-winning Low-Code Lending Platform at Edelweiss and led a core payments product redesign at FSS. Rukesh is an engineer at heart, with a passion for building and fixing things. He finds joy in connecting and inspiring others, sparking a catalyst for collaborative innovation. Rukesh is a computer scientist by training, an engineer at heart and a philosopher by temperament. He is a first-principles thinker deeply invested in the intersection of technology and human behaviour Outside of his professional endeavours, he finds joy in trekking in the mountains, long-distance cycling, and helping the underprivileged.
