Priti Gupta & Basant Gupta

Priti Gupta grew up in Bokaro Steel City and completed her graduation from Delhi University. She later pursued an MBA in Marketing from Symbiosis, Pune, followed by a course in Interior Designing in Kolkata. For the past 20 years, she has been actively involved in her family’s steel manufacturing business, where she also leads the company’s CSR initiatives in Kolkata. Her journey with social impact deepened in 2017 when she became actively involved with Help Us Help Them (HUHT), an organization working towards the education of rural children. Through HUHT’s learning centre, Adhigam Bhoomi in Joka, Kolkata, Priti has been closely engaged in initiatives focused on education, nutrition, and livelihood opportunities for children and families. It was during a HUHT presentation to SVP that she first learned about the organization and felt inspired to be part of a larger community of changemakers.
Married to Basant Gupta for over 21 years, they have an 11-year-old daughter studying at RPGIS in Grade 6. As a family, they actively participate in philanthropic initiatives, instilling in their daughter the values of empathy, responsibility, and giving back to society. Together, Priti and Basant believe in creating meaningful impact through sustained engagement in education and community development.
