Uma Gumireddy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Osmania University and a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU). She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Town Planners, India (ITPI).
She was formerly associated with Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU), where she served as faculty for the M.Tech Planning program for several years. During her tenure, she mentored numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students, guiding them in their thesis and dissertation work.
Her husband, Mr. Phaneendra Reddy Gumireddy, is an IAS officer in Telangana, known for his significant contributions to public administration. Their son, Siddarth Reddy, is working in India as a software engineer, while their daughter, Neeharika, is pursuing her undergraduate studies in the United States.
Beyond her academic and professional engagements, Uma has a deep interest in traveling, exploring diverse cuisines, and clay modeling, reflecting her creative and artistic inclinations.
