Thomas & Siji Cherian

Thomas serves as the MD of Essel Mining at the Aditya Birla Group. With over three decades of experience in the mining industry, he has a proven track record of establishing new entities and scaling operations.
A Mining Engineer by education, Thomas began his career with Tata Steel in 1992, where he took on various roles and led teams across different locations in India and abroad. Before joining the Aditya Birla Group in 2021, he was the MD of Tata Steel Mining Ltd.
Thomas enjoys travelling and is passionate about Off-Roading, getting closer to nature.
Siji is MSW Gold medalist from Calicut University with experience in working with social organisations before she took to be a full time home maker.
