Tiljala SHED envisions a proletarian society free from hunger, inequality, gender bias and injustices where people can lead dignified lives free from exploitation along with freedom of expression.
Mission
To bring meaningful difference in the lives of the marginalized and vulnerable communities living in the slums, squatters, and pavements.
The biggest opportunity for Tiljala Shed will be to be visible on this platform so that we are connected to like minded individuals and potential partners.
Community-led – This is also our strength that the founders of this organization are from this community as well as most of the employees. There is nothing more loyal and binding and motivating for people from the community to work for the betterment of their own community.
The suffering and the hardship faced by the local community compelled me to work for them and make their lives better. Since I too belong to this community it is my mission to empower these local communities and to make them self-reliant through multi-faceted interventions. I believe more education and awareness will result in fewer crimes in society.
