Vision / Mission
Vision: To mitigate vulnerability of survivors of human exploitation through the enterprise model and develop it into a revenue generation model.
Mission:
- Reduce vulnerability through vocational training
- Develop skills and enhance employability of survivors
- Develop survivors to be financially self-sufficient
- Generate revenue for Kshamata, the NGO
We see a great opportunity to engage women, survivors of human exploitation, through skill training, job readiness and employment generation. The enterprise model has the potential to be upscaled and reach various parts of our state to help the focus group. This in turn will help us generate revenue to support our care and support, outreach to shelter homes and target communities.
Trailblazer – The founder trustee of our organisation has set the trail by finding the gap in the existing government model of rehabilitation of human survivors of human exploitation and successfully plugging it.
Having worked for 19 years in the social development sector, I have seen that women have greater resilience and drive specially to care and provide for the family. Very rarely do women get the rightful credit and support. Offered with a clear vision and focus on reintegration of women survivors of human exploitation gave me an opportunity to serve the most neglected and faceless women in our community.
