SVP is currently funding the project ‘Income security/augmentation and alternate livelihoods through Areca leaf sheath products’ (August 2020 to August 2022) which was conceptualised along with the lead partner Ms Anjana Kaul & Mr. Mohan Alexander. TIDE was one of the first investee organisations of SVP Bangalore in 2014. The two organisations have been in touch throughout and this is the second funding collaboration.
SVP has opened a lot of doors for TIDE:
Funding:
When our pilot project on VidyutRaksha ended with SVP, we got introduced to various potential funders for scaling and one such intro was made by Ms Kusum Pai and Dr Jogin Desai to WRI. This has evolved into a strong partnership, funding, and resulted in awards and more partnerships. Based on SVP’s reference, TIDE also received CSR funding from Fanuc and Manipal Foundation. The Bangalore GM continues to refer us to various funders and platforms and even facilitated a matching grant fundraiser with GiveIndia.
Resource Partnerships:
NGOs like TIDE are trying hard to balance our development-driven, people-sensitive projects while ensuring professional organization, program and financial management. For the latter, TIDE senior staff have received tremendous mentoring from SVP Partners, particularly Dr Jogin Desai and Ms Anjana Kaul. The latter is a regular at TIDE appraisal committee and is helping the organization to grow.
