Apni Shala builds social and emotional competencies among individuals to constructively engage with society and have a harmonious co-existence. They do this by increasing access to Social Emotional Learning (SEL) spaces for children, youth, and the larger community, developing capacity among educators and mental health workers to facilitate SEL programs and implement a wholesome SEL evaluation framework in the Indian context alongside advocating with the government to push for policy interventions.

Apni Shala & SVP India Partnership
Khoj is Apni Shala’s SEL-Integrated School Initiative. It uses a holistic educational model that centers on students’ psychosocial well-being to educate and heal and incorporates counseling, mindfulness, and inclusion practices to help empower its students and their families. Khoj aims to become a model school in the given context with a curricular focus on students’ well-being and development. SVP will help the organization by supporting class 6th students in the Khoj school and providing capacity-building support for the scalability of the project.
