Athletic. Expressive. Optimistic.
Shubham is a Chemical Engineer turned Development Professional. With a B.Tech. from Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur, he worked at Honeywell for two years before making the significant switch of sectors.
During his field work in Banswara, a district in Rajasthan and a home to large tribal populations, he realized that the social issues are far more complex and deep rooted than a machine malfunction or a calculation error! Need for more knowledge and a master’s degree had become evident. Now, on the present day, Shubham holds an M.A. in Development from Azim Premji University, Bengaluru and a total work experience of four years, including two years in the Development Sector.
“Ever heard of the ‘trickle down effect’? I have seen it happening at SVP. The benefits of high net-worth individuals engaging more in the social sector and becoming engaged philanthropists do trickle down to the bottom of the pyramid. This is something I love about the SVP model.
SVP gives me the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders of the social sector ecosystem, viz. donors, non-profits, end beneficiary communities. Hence, it has been an excellent learning journey so far. And I must say that the impact created on ground coupled with learning from the super-motivated and committed philanthropists has been my motivation at SVP.”
